VERNON PARKER LOST LIFE IN GERMANY
Mrs. Bernadine Parker of Wayne City received a telegram from the War Department Tuesday, April 3rd,stating her husband, Pfc. Vernon Thomas Parker who was formerly reported missing March 6th in Germany had been killed in action on that date.
He had only been in Germany 21 days. He served as gunner on a machine gun.
Besides his wife, he leaves a small daughter. His age was 27 years.
